My Whole30 Day 5 Journey
Whole30 day 5 and I am still alive. I made it past the worst day so far {yesterday} and survived the head ache phase. Today I feel awesome as my brain is clear, I can focus, my clothes are getting baggy, I am happy with my food choices.
I finally found some salad dressing today at Whole Foods. {Happy dance for salad dressing.} I spent 45 minutes in the condiment aisle reading the labels on ketchup, mustard, mayo and salad dressing. Then as I was leaving I found what I was looking for in the produce refrigerated section of the store.
My Whole30 Food {Menu of the Day}
Breakfast:
- 2 hard boiled eggs
- Adiell’s chicken apple sausage
- roasted sweet potatoes, onions and peppers
Lunch: {I worked through lunch today}
- buffalo shredded chicken
- steamed broccoli with ginger and garlic
- garlic green beans
Snack:
- Coconut Larabar
Dinner:
- Grilled lemon pepper Salmon and Chilean Sea Bass {Salmon didn’t make it into the picture.}
- sautéed brussel sprouts with garlic and ghee
My Whole30 Fitness {Fitbit Steps}
Well, I challenged myself to do better than I did yesterday and surpass my 5,000 steps. Mission accomplished with 5,100 steps. At least I met the challenge but tomorrow I will strive to do better than today.
My Whole30 Feelings {Lighter}
I know that it is only Whole30 day 5 for me but I feel lighter already. Of course, I am not weighing myself, as tempted as I am to jump on the scale, but I noticed that my pants were so loose and baggy today, my stomach feels flatter and I just don’t feel bloated. I can easily get used to these feelings.
You can continue to follow my journey at Whole30 day 6.
Yay for baggy pants and flatter tummy!!! I always like when that happens- I was out and about today around lunchtime and was starving and made a bad choice. Felt like crap afterwards… Got right back on track for supper and hoping to do better tomorrow. I need to work on keeping a healthy snack in my purse for those times when I’m starving and tempted to make a bad choice!
Having a snack on hand at all times is one of my tips for Day 6. Good for you for getting back on track!
Wow! Already in 5 days!? Great!
