My Journey: Whole30 Day 19
Whole30 day 19 and I am eating salad for breakfast. Yes, another lesson learned during this challenge is that breakfast foods aren’t just for breakfast and same goes for lunch and dinner. I have no problem eating salad or pulled pork for breakfast and bacon and eggs for dinner. Regardless if I am doing the Whole30 challenge or not breakfast for dinner is always a treat but being flexible with my meals sets me up for more success.

Whole30 Fitness {Fitbit Steps}
You guys!!! Guess what??? My Fitbit wasn’t syncing correctly and it was only displaying half my steps. The good news is I have been averaging 5,000 steps per day all along and I am not a slug after all. I just happened to look at the monthly display tab and saw my real numbers. I am happy to report that I have logged 5,000 steps today. {Yeah me.}
Whole30 Emotions {organized}
I am really feeling organized and put together. I have a daily menu for dinner and the fridge is stocked with food that we can quickly grab for breakfast and lunch. I have blogged about my journey every day and I am entering the home stretch as I approach the end of my Whole30 challenge. Well not really, because I am pretty sure I am going to do it again for the month of May. I might cut myself some slack on special occasion days but for the most part I am quite sure this will be a long term plan for me.

Congrats on making it this far! I’ve finally caught up with all your posts. I kinda wish I would have blogged my experience but with all my travel I know I would have fallen behind and that would have stressed me out. I’m happy with how well my daughter and I have been doing and she told us last night that she wants to keep eating this way. I was thrilled! If she wants to keep going I will do it with her in solidarity, although I miss coffee and wine. And yogurt. And cheese. But I do still eat lots of good food and there are people in the world who do not so who am I to complain about not eating THOSE foods? I’ve been eating so much more fruit these days!
Sheila…thanks for following my journey and commenting. I will definitely be permanently incorporating some of these new habits into my daily life. I plan to do another round of 30 but will probably incorporate a cheat day because of “life” and business lunches and dinners. Sometimes I have limited choices such as salad dressing….I usually order salad and soup but the dressing might not always be compliant.
