Table Makeover and CCBG #28

Happy Thursday, it’s Link Party day with my friends from the Creative Craft Blog Group {CCBG#28}! So very sorry I missed the link party last week but I had an unexpected family emergency that kept me away from my computer. This week my post is a little late and I am giving you a quick teaser of what I am working on today.

DIY Table Makeover Teaser

Beat up furniture collection including the Spindle LegTable makeover piece

If you follow me on Instagram you have already seen this stash of furniture gifted to me by my friend Liz. {Yes, the same Liz that gifted me the chairs I used to make my Painted and Stenciled Chair Bench last week.} I have started a DIY table makeover on that beauty in the back with the spindle legs.

Diva of DIY chalk paint prep for spindle leg table makeover

My friend LeAnne, aka The Diva of DIY, has put together a blogger challenge using her chalk paint mix and she graciously gifted me a sample of the mix and wax. So far I have followed the chalk paint mix directions and started my DIY table makeover with two coats of cream colored chalk paint.

Months ago, I picked up this double pack of stencils in the Hobby Lobby clearance section for a whopping $2 and so far that is all I have invested into this table. For the DIY table makeover I plan to use the wreath stencil and create a grain sack image. {Wish me luck on this one.}

Creative Craft Bloggers Group Link Party #28

How does a link party work?

Every Thursday a group of my crafty friends will host a new link party. By linking your recent homemade project to the bottom of this post a thumbnail image will be added to the collage with a link to your blog so that  we can visit your blog and see what you have been making.

Your project could be featured!

Each week one of my crafty friends and myself will choose our personal favorite link of the week. If you are featured on one of our blogs, grab this button and share the good news with your crafty friends. {Put the button on your blog and share it on Facebook too.} Featured posts will also be added to the Creative Craft Bloggers Group Pinterest Board.

My Featured Post of the Week

It should be no surprise that my favorite of the week is this Spindle Leg Table Restoration submitted by Lisa at The Purple Hydrangea. She and I have the same table and she has stepped out of her normal paint routine with a great tutorial on stripping paint and using hemp oil. I love how her table turned out and I hope that my DIY table makeover can hold a candle to this beauty.

          • Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
          • Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
          • Please do not pin from the thumbnails below. If there’s a post you want to pin please click on the link title to visit the source and pin from their blog.
